Pokemon Silver — Chapter 19: Lame It Out 2: Lame Harder
Moments later, inside the Pokemon League… Nice try, Will, but not nice enough. Bartz? Yes, master? Huh. You’re a lot more articulate than your predecessor was. Anywho, finish this loser.
Pokemon Silver — Chapter 18: There Has Never Been a More Timely Time Than This
Here we are — locked in with the Elite Four. It would seem that in the world of Pokemon, holding a kid against his will is not frowned upon nearly as much as it is in other civilized societies.
Pokemon Silver — Chapter 17: Sins of the Game Freak
It doesn’t look like any amount of protesting is going to change Clair’s mind; she’s too butthurt to surrender the badge. You’d think top-level gym leaders would have grown out of this kind of pettiness. The townsfolk know about Clair’s defeat, at least, even if she doesn’t.
Pokemon Silver — Chapter 16: Just Lame It Out
Back at Mahogany Town, that jerkwad trying to scam us into buying ragecandy is finally gone. What actually caused him to leave? Who knows. All I care about is that he left. And that means we’re on to Route 44, Mahogany to Blackthorn. Where, presumably, the gym is run by a shotgun-wielding biker.
Pokemon Silver — Chapter 15: Legendary Smegendary
We’re on the scene in less than five. After Elm’s call, all we need is a minute at the PokeCenter, and then Kain flies us to Goldenrod. Rocket is none too pleased to see us. Make me. Have I introduced you to my sea draon here? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Y-yeah, okay. Right. Go on in.
Pokemon Silver — Chapter 14: Rocket Radio!
Taking stock on our progress… We have six of the eight badges. The east end of the north road — from Cianwood to Ecruteak — is behind us. Two towns left… and two badges. We find ourselves back at the Lake of Rage, north of Mahogany, where we were thwarted last time.
Pokemon Silver — Chapter 13: 500 Years of Elton John
Every path seems to lead nowhere. I seem to recall a similar point in Pokemon Blue, where the game stops giving you any direction about where you should be going next, and if you happened to miss a critical HM, your only option is to go back and comb the entire game world for it. Which is what we’ve been doing for over a day now, and it hasn’t really gotten us anywhere. Aside from finding Flash (currently useless to us) and a new eevee, we keep coming up empty. Surprisingly, it actually falls within my limited knowledge of Pokemon
Pokemon Silver — Chapter 12: Welcome to Rageville, USA!
We’ve reached an impasse. To my knowledge, we’ve taken every possible road in the earlier areas, barring two: Route 46 and the Dark Cave, both for solid reason. Access at the southern end of Route 46 is blocked by cliffs, and the Dark Cave is — well — dark. We can’t see at all to navigate through it. On the north end of things, we’ve got a branching path — east from Ecruteak stops right at another dark cave (this time, Mt. Mortar) and west goes a little further, but we finally come up against another roadblock after Olivine City,
